Day 1 Highlights of My New Workout Program

Highlights from day 1 of my new workout program.


Between selling my old rack, building my new rack, and physical therapy for a nagging hip injury, I decided to completely deload down almost to the bar weight and rebuild my foundational strength.


I’m not afraid of the optics of low weight, after all, this fitness journey is for my own health and wellness. I am using this account for motivation and accountability.


My new program is a blend of StrongLifts 5x5, where I will be lifting Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, but with added accessory movements and a traditional 3x8 set/rep range.


On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, I will be doing active recovery including cardio, band work, stretching, continued physical therapy exercises and I’d like to get into yoga.


This particular workout consisted of the following:


-Squat

-Standing Calf Raises

-Bench Press

-Skullcrushers

-Rope Tricep Pressdown
